Bosnoma at abx

This year at ABX, BosNOMA will provide a platform for minorities in the architecture and design profession to engage in frank conversations about the challenges of the navigating through existing professional systems and the rewards of rewards of forging new paths. Attendees joined us for our panel on working toward equity in practice,

two podcasts that explored architecture and design professions from unique perspectives, and a B.R.A.V.E. conversation with BosNOMA leadership. Thank you to our partners at the Boston Society of Architects’ Equity Diversity and Inclusion Network and Design Museum Everywhere for working with us to bring this content to ABX.

ABX20 Events

We were able to collaborate with the talented team at Design Museum Everywhere allowed for an informative perspectives. We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to record not one but two podcasts to be aired on their website and all other streaming platforms.

reimagining the architecture profession (Pre-Recorded)

During our first podcast recording we had a discussion between Wentworth’s Xavier Fernandes and BosNOMA’s Parliamentarian, Elyse Ayoung about the REIMAGINED possibilities within the design realm.

Mentorship in practice (Live Recording)

For our second podcast we had Jha D. Williams and BosNOMA’s own Julian Phillips have a riveting conversation about bringing your whole self into spaces.

This was a first for the Design Museum Everywhere team as well! This was their first ever live podcast recording. Video coming soon!

B.R.A.V.E Conversation

This was our opportunity to bring one of our most appreciated meeting segments to a live setting. We brought our B.R.A.V.E Conversation to ABX inviting a wide range of perspectives to express their experiences within the Architecture industry.

This allowed many of the spectating members the opportunity to listen and learn about their peers’ experiences and how they have had to navigate through spaces that were not intended for them.
