April General Meeting

The BosNOMA monthly meeting will be held at the Boston Architectural College’s McCormick Gallery, which currently hosts an exhibition celebrating the 150-year history of Shepley Bulfinch. This exhibit connects the transformative world events of the last century-and-a-half with projects designed by Shepley Bulfinch that have helped define the practice and expertise of architecture and planning. As a women-led architecture and design firm for the last 20 years, Shepley Bulfinch has a notable legacy of challenging convention, pioneering visionary design ideas, and collaborating with clients who drive life-changing results.

We're thrilled to invite you to the second edition of Boston T Talks (previously known as the BosNOMA Grad Panel and Mingle Event)! The theme for 2024 is "Navigating Authenticity: Harmonizing Ambition, Achievement, and Individual Aspirations".

This fun-filled event offers a fantastic opportunity to network with peers, learn about the exciting events hosted by other NOMAS chapters, and connect with professionals from various firms and at different career stages. The evening will feature an engaging panel discussion featuring students, emerging professionals, and established industry leaders. We shall also host a pop-up exhibition showcasing the different NOMAS chapters in the area and the work they have been involved in thus far.

If you've ever visited #Roxbury, there's a high chance you've seen Ruggles Station, Roxbury Community College, or Egleston Center.

Interested in learning about who designed them? Check out the new exhibition Stull & Lee: Black Architecture Vision for an Infrastructural City!

 This exhibition connects the origin story and the city-shaping legacy of the Black-led architecture firm Stull & Lee as they worked on projects ranging from nightclubs to mass housing to public transit.

BosNOMA's 2nd Annual Winter Gala

Please join us to celebrate another year of BosNOMA's accomplishments with dinner, drinks, dancing, and art! The second annual winter gala will take place at the Artist for Humanity Epicenter where members and non-members can gather to support NOMA's mission of minority leadership and growth in the AEC industry. A silent art auction will be held to support teenage artists and portion of all proceeds will go to student artists and BosNOMA.

We will be visiting their “Making The Embrace” exhibition,
which showcases the design and construction process
of The Embrace memorial in the Boston Common.
Created by American conceptual artist Hank Willis Thomas,
the permanent monument memorializes Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
and Coretta Scott King’s legacy and presence
within the city of Boston.
